Starting with last weekend, we took the kids to the Spectrum. It was one of the things we did with TJ while he was on leave in the summer, so Caleb remembered and was excited to go back. We played at Dave & Buster's. Caleb spent his time between Skeeball and a giant Fruit Ninja screen, while Lilly attacked Whack-A-Mole. She also likes to tell daddy the specific stuffed toy she wants from claw machines...and ya know what? She gets it. Even the giant round ladybug ball. Because TJ always wins.
She and I rode the merry-go-round together, which was a huge accomplishment; I know this sounds crazy, but Caleb doesn't let me ride anything, because he's so anxious. This time was different and he cheered for me as I rode with Lil.
Our last stop was Anthro for a new mug and to watch the ferris wheel.
Just one of many shots of our flying Lilly Belle.
It was grandma's birthday on Sunday. We had Tony's Pizza {her yearly yummy request} and sang by cupcake candlelight.
Caleb had a hard time ajusting to the small amount of added people for this celebration. We're so thankful that he was able to decompress {and declothe} in Uncle Luke's room, and was ready to help blow out the candles.

This wasn't on IG, but a video of it was.
In an effort to cure my case-of-the-Mondays, I packed up LC and set out for some sunshine. The water was warm and the beach combing was full of treasures.
It was the perfect way to prepare for this crazy rain we're currently being dumped with!

Caleb created his own bubblebeard and declared himself Benjamin Harrison in the tub.
Who knew he had such an uncanny resemblance with our 23rd POTUS.

I found this nice little sentiment on the back of my five the other day.
Other that the fact that I can't stand that the word YOUR isn't spelled out, I thought it was encouraging. Until I thought about it again. And again. And realized that it was a little too self-serving for me. I must say that I absolutely love being a wife and mother, but more specifically I love my loving God who encourages me to love and serve others.

Apparently she has a thing for ladybugs?
Found this little ditty at Hoppy Hoppy.

Lastly we adventured to Mile Square.
He loved being in the tree and even came nose-to-nose with the fattest squirrel I'd ever seen.
Happy Friday, party people!
