Week In Pictures

First of all, thank you so much to everyone who read last week's post.  I received a lot of incredibly encouraging feedback and I feel so blessed to have you along with us on our journey.  Thank you.

I tried to keep things light this week, since Caleb had a big day last Friday at the lab...and for some reason every day this week was a struggle to get him to school. Come to find out there was another student who was having a rough week and has a tendency to be very loud when he's frustrated, which is a huge issue for Caleb. He has such a hard time working through noise! It makes him anxious to even wake up in the morning. All I can say is I'm so glad it's Friday; only eight more days of school left! ALSO we're on a MONTH of successful #2s on the potty (even rough ones this week...oh autism parenting)!!
Here's our week in pictures...

Amazingly, Caleb really enjoys processing things through his Magnadoodle. This day I told him we could go to the dollar store...so he jumped up & down, ran to his room, and wrote "Dollar Tree is for the dollar store."

Ever since he was itty bitty, I'd draw music notes on a staff for him {like a big old nerd}. I haven't drawn them in a long while, and the other day I discovered he'd drawn his own version of a treble clef & music notes (and heyyo new doodle board)!

Just cuz this was awesome...here's Lil & Uncle Luke doin their two-step-toe-tap.

I neeeeever get to take pictures of Lilly while she sleeps, so this little moment was nice.

Little miss got a mini penguin pillow pet and was in love.

One of the things I've been doing lately is organizing the house. I used to be AMAZINGLY organized...and then I got busy *ahem* lazy. One of my friends invited me to be a part of an organizing/cleaning group on Facebook (I know) and I LOVE it. It's so encouraging and honest, and it's kicking my butt! Here was the beginning of the organizing/purging of our papers, bills, etc. Since TJ's not here to take care of the finances, it's all on me and I'm ready as ever!

Let me tell you. My kids don't play together. DON'T. DO NOT play together. But in the last few weeks they have really enjoyed LAUGHING with each other. Just for the sake of laughter! It's a rare moment, but it melts my heart every time. Here they were singing B-I-N-G-O.

Oh ya know, just another day at OT, waiting for Caleb, thinking she owns the place.

Yesterday I made him some glasses with pipe cleaners...

And this is the absolute best. Caleb has had a lot of fun FaceTime-ing with TJ lately. They have an inside-joke where Caleb counts back from 20 {in Spanish}, TJ disappears, and the yells STOP in his best Gordon Ramsay British accent.

Happy Friday, folks!
Miss you, TJ.

  1. I love all your posts - but I really love this one because it is so deliciously random! Just great in the everyday events and non-events that you all experience. When Tony and Kylie were little(er) they would sit in the back seat and laugh. Then she would yell, "Mom! He's looking out my window!" And he was. On purpose. Oh the car rides... Keep up the good work and the great attitude!
