I'd never visited Sean and Shannon in Houston. We saw them twice when they lived in College Station, but now I was going to see my six month old nephew! I can't believe I've lived these six months without that babe!
I had a direct flight from "Orange County - Santa Ana - John Wayne" to Houston. Seriously. Our airport is known by three names.
I left that beautiful West Coast for some gorgeous blue skies and Texas clouds. I also brought the nice weather with me! I arrived at George Bush Intercontinental and ran to meet my bro while Reba was blaring through baggage claim. We quickly grabbed some delicious barbecue takeout to bring home to Shannon and the baby.
Finally!! That BABY!!
Let me just TELL YOU. Grayson is the most happy, sweet baby ever. He is so smiley and cuddly and precious. I couldn't get enough of him. And don't get me started on his gorgeous grins for his mama and daddy.
Of course a new beanie knit by Grammy.
And I just had to make him something Californian.
Sean and Shannon both had busy days and no sitter in the morning, so I was beyond excited to babysit my new little buddy.
His room is Pinterest Heaven!
Being a Gresch means you've won the eyelash jackpot.
Cutest sweetest ever!
Mmm green beans!
Sean and I took him to walk the outlet mall in the morning where I bought presents for the kids at the Disney store {because we don't have Disney at home...? Haha I couldn't help myself}.
The precious babe slept and slept!
Had my first Whataburger experience {yum!}.
Then we went by the H.E.B. Sean works for. HEBs are especially amazing grocery stores that are only in Texas. There are a billion things that make them amazing, but my favorites were their cheese section, the fresh bread, the beer, the food demos, the florals, and how they give back to their community and country. They supported TJ's unit while they were in Afghanistan and sent supplies & care packages. This flag flew at Bagram and is now proudly displayed by the front entrance {along with the photo of TJ's unit}.
But seriously, Grayson stole the show.
He let anyone and everyone hold him and he smiled and smiled.
And let me just say something about Texans. They are sweet people. Friendly, talkative, and genuine. I felt like everyone was an old friend {until they all realized that Sean and I have the same ridiculous laugh; then they were new friends}.
Baby for sale?
We brought Shannon some flowers near the end of her day and her class just loved Grayson {he liked them too}.
After some snuggling, we waited for Shannon to get home and headed out to celebrate Grayson's six month birthday. To my surprise Shannon suggested Cracker Barrel {only the best place in the world...she had no idea I was so obsessed with it}.
And because I'm a Gresch I'll tell you what I ate. Corn muffins, chicken fried chicken with hashbrown casserole and green beans. OH and a loaded sweet potato. I also shopped again for myself and the kids. That store is the best!
Cutest little ribbit on my last night. The way he grabs your face for a snuggle is the best.
Sean and I enjoyed a few Stones and Shiners while we watched what else but Back to the Future.
He had one last snuggle nap on Auntie Sharon in the morning before I caught my flight home.
