Long Overdue {Pun Intended}

I've officially been an auntie for one whole month, you guys!

Grayson William was born to my brother and his wife in the Lone Star State one month ago today.

He was a long time comin' and a long time prayed for.

He's absolutely beautiful, with fair skin and light red hair.

I cannot begin to express my absolute joy and excitement for Sean and Shannon.

They have been blessed beyond measure with their baby boy, and I can't wait to {eventually} get my hands on him! There are no two people who are more deserving of parenthood, and I'm so stoked to see them rock it out! 

I was the first one in my family to have children, so I'm beyond thrilled to finally be able to share what wisdom I think I have, with such an amazing Auntie and Uncle. 

I wish I could hug him and squish him, kiss him and cuddle him.

But I also wish I could be there to take him when he's screaming like crazy, when he just won't sleep, when they need to breathe, when they need to sleep. 

If I could impart any wisdom I think I have, it would be this...

He will sleep.

He will sleep.

I promise you, he will sleep.

Enjoy these itty bitty moments, take a deep breath, and soak up every bit the precious miracle in your arms. Love you guys.
