Afternoons

Our afternoons are quiet.
After we pick up Caleb from school, we go home and the kids nap.

My kids are champion nappers.

I've been trying to get Caleb out of his nap routine (hello he's 5 years old), but more often than not he'll throw himself at the mercy of his blankie and take a snoozer.  Who would blame him?  I can't imagine how exciting his every-day is to his senses.  But it makes for a later bedtime, and I'm getting tired.

One part of the day that I really find joy in is the late afternoon.
The sun sets so nicely behind us, but we can't really see it unless we go outside, so out we go.

I want to cry a little bit when I find a new freckle on his nose; it kills me.

A cape and some fairy wings always make for a good time.

*love you TJ
