Lilly Lately

Since I've been spending so much time with Lilly Belle while Caleb is at school, I thought I'd share some of my favorite {captured} moments on the blog.

This tutu from Auntie Katherine is magical. She loves loves loves it...but she only sometimes tolerates her picture being taken...

If ya'll aren't already aware, LC is not a big fan of cuddling. She hardly lets me hold her when she's upset/hurt; she'd rather just let out a wail and stomp it off. This day she actually LET me cuddle close with her. It was lovely. And I got to take a nice little macro-photo of her...I can't tell you how many pictures I have of Caleb's giant eyelashes close-up. It'll be nice to add this to the bunch. 

Don't get me started on the binkies. Here she is clapping them, saying "cymbals!" They still make her happy, which means they save my life every day, so I'll take my time getting rid of them thankyouverymuch.

AaaaaaaaandJUMP! Her favorite thing to do presently (other than play cymbals with her binkies) is jump. She hops around the house, jumps off the couch, she's crazy. 

And look! She's jumping off of her BIG GIRL BED. I put a little bug in my mom's ear about wanting to look for a bed, she told my dad, and the NEXT DAY he came over with a BEAUTIFUL bed he found on craigslist...and the head/foot boards are white picket fences! We're starting her our with her bed on the floor like we did for Caleb (and the bed is really big). She's doing very well, but the only drawback is she's been waking up and HOUR early each day (this morning was an hour and a half early)...so I'm a little tired!

Trader Joe's has been selling the most beautiful peonies lately...I'm in LOVE, I can't get enough! Yesterday I asked the cashier if she knew where they were brought in from, because peonies do NOT grow in southern california {only in cold climates}...she didn't know, so I'm just assuming some sort of climate controlled greenhouse! 

Lilly just loved them. She truly delights in beauty and I just love that about her. She takes a deep breath and sighs as she says "ohhhh how beautiful."

And as I'm typing this, she has that beanie on. She calls it her Christmastime hat. And what goes better with a Christmas beanie than Easter bunny ears?

We like to hang while CC does work at OT. She's looking pretty grown up lately.

And a hose is her best friend {and purple-binkie}.
